Will the Minister of SPACE be pleased to state:-
(a)the number of space research centres in the country, location-wise;
(b)the details of amount spent for space research during the last three years, year-wise;
(c)whether the Government proposes to open new space research centres;
(d)If so, the details thereof;
(e)whether the Government also proposes to increase the amount given to space research centres; and
(f)If so, the details thereof?

(f)The budget for Space Research is provided based on the programmatic considerations. The budget in the coming years is proposed to be increased towards development of Advanced Communication Satellites, development of Advanced Launch Vehicle Technology, high-resolution imaging systems, Satellite Navigation Systems, Space Science & Planetary Exploration, Disaster Management Support Programme etc.
