About the Editors

Ruchita Beri is a Consultant with the Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (MP-IDSA), New Delhi. Earlier, Ms Beri served as Senior Research Associate and Centre Coordinator, Africa, Latin America, Caribbean and United Nations Centre at the MP-IDSA. She has over three decades experience in research on international relations, political economy and security of Sub-Saharan Africa, India–Africa relations and Emerging Powers in Africa and the Indian Ocean Region. She is a member of the Africa Committee of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). She is also a member of the Africa Experts Group at the Vivekananda International Foundation, New Delhi. She is the former President of African Studies Association of India (ASA). She has authored several research articles and edited and co- edited numerous books including India-Africa: Building Synergies in Peace, Security and Development (Pentagon Press, 2024), Food Governance in India: Rights, Security and Challenges in the Global Sphere (Routledge, 2023)

Rajeesh Kumar is a Research Fellow at the MP-IDSA, New Delhi. He was one of the Co- Chairs of the Think-20 Task Force on ‘Reformed Multilateralism: Transforming Global Institutions and Frameworks’ during India’s G20 presidency. Dr Kumar is the author of Indian and Chinese Approaches to United Nations Peacekeeping in Africa (MP- IDSA, 2024), Principled but Evolving: India`s Approach to Multilateral Peace and Security (MP-IDSA, 2021) and e International Committee of the Red Cross in Internal Armed Conflicts: Is Neutrality Possible (Palgrave Macmillan, 2019). He is also the co-editor of Eurozone Crisis and the Future of Europe: Political Economy of Further Integration and Governance (Palgrave Macmillan, 2014).
