Alyson J. K. Bailes
Alyson J K Bailes was a member of the British Diplomatic Service for 33 years and worked in a number of European posts and at Beijing. She has also carried out academic sabbaticals and worked for European organisations in Brussels. She has been Director of the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), since
July 2002.
